Silect, Inc. ("Silect," "we," "us," or "our") provides a software platform for commercial real estate brokers and their clients (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the Services. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

This Policy applies to visitors to our website, users who create an account and use the Services (including brokers, administrators, and their clients), and individuals whose information is uploaded to the Services by one of our customers, as described in Section 3.
Silect is a business-to-business platform. Most of the individuals whose information we handle are business users acting on behalf of a company, rather than consumers.
Account information. When you register for an account, we collect your name, work email address, password, and information about your company and your role.
Content you provide. We collect the documents, data, and other content you upload or enter into the Services to use its features, including information related to properties, projects, and deals you are working on.
Requests and communications. If you contact us or submit a request through the Services, we collect the information you provide in order to respond, including your contact details and the content of your message.
Usage and log data. We automatically collect technical information when you use the Services, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages or screens viewed, and the dates and times of your activity, along with standard server log files. Like most websites, we also use cookies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of our website may not function properly if you do.
Information from the email integration. If you use our email integration, described in Section 4, we collect the content of the message you choose to import, including its sender and any attachments.
Certain features of the Services let you upload information about people who are not themselves Silect users, for example, information about a customer's own employees, uploaded for the purpose of analysis. When you upload this kind of information, you are acting as the data controller for it, and Silect acts only as a data processor, handling the information solely to provide the analysis or feature you requested.
By uploading this information, you confirm that you have the right to share it with us and that you have satisfied any notice, consent, or other legal obligations you owe to the individuals whose information it is. We do not independently verify this and rely on your representation.
Silect offers an optional integration, available for both Gmail and Outlook, that lets a user select a message they have already received and import it into the platform. Only the selected message and its attachments are accessed, and only at the moment of import.
The integration does not have standing or background access to your mailbox, does not sync or scan your mailbox, and does not request organization-wide or mailbox-wide permissions.
For users connecting through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, additional disclosures required by those platforms appear in Sections 9 and 10.
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and provide the Services; authenticate accounts and secure the Services, including detecting and preventing fraud or misuse; communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests; improve and develop the Services, including new features; and comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.
We share information with service providers who help us operate the Services, under confidentiality and use restrictions consistent with this Policy. These providers fall into categories such as cloud hosting and storage providers, authentication providers, data processing and analytics services, mapping and geolocation services, and email delivery services. These providers may only use the information we share with them to perform services on our behalf, not for their own purposes or for advertising. A specific list of our current service providers is available on request.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect the rights or safety of Silect or others, or investigate suspected fraud or misuse of the Services.
If Silect is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the successor honoring the commitments made in this Policy.
We retain account and content information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, and we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain it longer for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Silect's hosting and infrastructure are located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws that differ from those of your country.
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to an early-stage company to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and authentication requirements for accessing our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the information we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
US state privacy laws. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have specific rights under those laws, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to know that we do not sell personal information.
EEA and UK residents. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, or your consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally within one month.
This section applies to our Gmail integration and to any use of Google Workspace APIs.
Limited Use. Silect's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
No use in AI or machine learning training. Data obtained through Google APIs is never used to train, retrain, or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Human access. Human access to data obtained through Google APIs is restricted to the following circumstances only: with your explicit consent, for specific troubleshooting you have requested; to investigate a security incident, such as suspected abuse; to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Reviewing or revoking access. You can review and revoke Silect's access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account's third-party access settings, available at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
This section applies to our Outlook integration.
The Outlook integration accesses only the specific email message a user selects to import, and does not have standing or background access to a mailbox. It does not request organization-wide or mailbox-wide access to Microsoft 365 data. Microsoft 365 data is accessed only as you specifically authorize it, and only to provide the functionality described in Section 4.
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed at, and are not knowingly used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time as our Services or legal obligations change. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
